Reserving Space in a ClassReservations are made by submitting a registration form, with a non-refundable $40 deposit. This deposit will be deducted from your total tuition due. To ensure your family materials arrive by the first class, the deposit must be received by Joyful Sounds Music Studio by August 25th, 2010. See the registration page on this site for the form. Payments by check or cash must be received within 7 days of online registration to hold the space. After 7 days, your space may be given to the next person on the waiting list.
Payment Options and Discounts
Joyful Sounds Music Studio accepts cash, checks or credit card payments. Tuition and deadlines vary for each class. Family discounts are available for registering more than one child or for multiple classes. For information, please contact us. - Early registration and deposit by August 20th, 2010 will result in a 5% discount off your total fall tuition.
- Payment of the full semester's tuition on or before your child's first class will result in a 5% discount off your total tuition.
- A payment plan is available and the tuition will be billed as follows:
- $40 non-refundable deposit due before 1st class
- 1/3 of remaining semester balance due Sept. 15, Oct. 15 and Nov. 15
- We love referrals! When a new family joins Joyful Sounds Music Studio based on your referral, you will receive a 10% discount on your tuition, this semester or next!
Sickness and AbsenceIf your child is ill, please stay home and rest, for your child's health as well as the health of the others in class. If able, please call or email to let your teacher know you'll be missing class that day. When your child is well, we would love for you to attend a make-up class at another time or another week. Be sure to call first, as extra space may vary from class to class. Make-up classes must be attended during the semester you are currently attending. They will not be carried over to the next semester, and missed classes will not be refunded. For the safety of your child's health, your teacher will not come to class sick. In case the teacher becomes ill, all students will be contacted immediately and make-up classes will be arranged.
WeatherIf Denton ISD is closed for inclement weather, Joyful Sounds Music Studio will be closed as well and every attempt will be made to make up the missed classes. If public schools open on a delayed schedule, we will open at 10:00 and reschedule earlier classes for another day. In the case of a late-afternoon or evening class, if bad weather is coming in, we will do our best to watch the reports and notify you immediately of any class changes. While class time is very worthwhile, we would all rather be home and safe if serious weather is blowing in. In any case of class schedule changes, the front page of the Joyful Sounds website will be updated immediately. We will make every attempt to notify you by phone, but feel free to call us or check the website as well.
In Class PoliciesPlease try to be on time for class. Come to class ready to participate - dress comfortably, focus on your child, and leave your inhibitions and cell phones at the door! For safety purposes, please remove your shoes and your child's before entering the class space. Please leave food, toys or other personal items in the car. These items could cause distractions or problems for any of the children in the class, and we'll have plenty of activity and objects to play with once we get started! - Since the bond between a child and his or her "grown-up" is one of the major goals of our curriculum, it is important that all grown-ups stay in the classroom during the entire class.
